Non-Profit Customer Spotlight: Special Olympics

Working with the non-profit industry always gives us the warm and fuzzies here at Candor Threads. One of our more memorable experiences was a custom shirt project we did with Special Olympics Northern California. Read on to hear about the project and the outcome.

Jess, Head of Marketing, at Special Olympics Northern California, reached out to us for custom shirts for the Opening Ceremony at the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games in Orlando. Once every four years, athletes with intellectual disabilities join to celebrate inclusion and acceptance through the power of summer sports. Needless to say, we were thrilled by the opportunity to work with such an incredible organization and wowed by their custom design.

This inspiring team included 18 athletes, 5 coaches, and 2 Unified partners. The athletes participated in swimming, track & field, and Unified golf. When all was said and done, they brought home 8 gold medals, 7 silver medals, and 7 bronze medals! Not to mention 29 places ranging from 4th to 8th. We are so honored to have played a small role in the big accomplishments these athletes and coaches achieved.
