Play For Blake
From Tragedy to Hope
On June 14th, tragedy struck our family when my cousins, Amy & Darren, lost their 13-year-old son, Blake, in a devastating bike accident. The mere thought of what Blake’s family, friends, and community were enduring was overwhelmingly heartbreaking. However out of tragedy emerged something beautiful.
Amy & Darren decided to honor Blake’s memory by establishing The Play For Blake Foundation. Their goal is simple yet profound: to offer underprivileged children the resources and opportunities to engage in the sport that Blake loved most—soccer.
As a mother of two boys actively involved in a club soccer, I’ve seen firsthand how this sport can transform lives. It instills confidence, teaches teamwork, and fosters essential life skills.
This foundation’s core belief is that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves the chance to experience the joy and benefits of soccer, just as Blake did. Witnessing my cousins’ incredible initiative and the positive impact it’s making on countless kids is truly inspiring.
In support of The Play For Blake Foundation, my company (Candor Threads) has donated Play for Blake soccer scarves. I invite you to join this cause and make a meaningful contribution by purchasing these scarves or any of the PFB merchandise. Your support will directly benefit underprivileged children, allowing them to access the world of soccer and all its life-enriching opportunities.
Blake’s story is one of resilience, love, and the power of turning tragedy into hope for others. Your purchase of Play for Blake merchandise will not only honor his memory but will also play a pivotal role in providing invaluable opportunities to children in need.
Let’s Play For Blake and Empower Every Child through Soccer!
Thanks for your support,
