Education Customer Spotlight: Dodge City High School
During the month of November, we want to celebrate the education industry! Over the years, we’ve been given so many amazing opportunities to work with teachers, professors, coaches, and administrators. We’ve had a blast developing fun products for all of them. About Jay Gifford:
Not only is Jay Gifford one of Candor Threads‘ favorite customers in the education field, but he’s also been the athletic director at Dodge City High School in Dodge City, Kansas for the last 19 years! From celebrating his sports teams with various events to working on a new multimillion-dollar football stadium, Jay is always busy coming up with creative ways to provide the very best experiences for his teams and their fans.
Shirts for the Dodge City Demons:
When Jay contacted us last December, his basketball team was gearing up to host an Aloha theme night for their annual tournament in January. Jay wanted all of the students to have Hawaiian shirts. Not only could they wear them to the big event, but they could have them as keepsakes to mark the time during their high school education. To make it happen, Jay invited Diamond Roofing to sponsor the event and ordered 300 shirts in two different designs! On the day of the tournament, everyone who purchased a ticket also received a commemorative Hawaiian shirt to wear to the game! We can tell from the photo above that this lively, fun-loving group of teens had an amazing night to remember! We’re so glad our shirts helped set the mood and we’re grateful for the opportunity to produce these awesome shirts for their memorable evening.
